This week the adult learners and tutors of Hospitality and Tourism Operations in Ballyshannon Adult Education and Training Centre, Finn Valley Centre for Education, and Miflord Adult Education and Training Centre embraced the Wild Atlantic Way.

Maire Aine Gardner (Failte Ireland) delivered an inspiring presentation where students learnt about the tourist engagement and the importance of creating a memorable tourist experience along the headlands of the Wild Atlantic Way. They heard about the catch and cook fishing experience in Killybegs, winter storm watching in Malin, Northern Lights Tours, Ireland By Bike in Teelin and various ” hero products”.

Failte Ireland delivered good news of the injection of funds to expand facilities and generate employment at the signature points of Malin Head, Fanad Head and Slieve League. Our students are looking forward to future jobs and business opportunities in the thriving tourist industry. We can anticipate an even brighter future in this sector now that Donegal has been named as the world’s number one travel destination in National Geographic!
