Donegal ETB & Construction Industry Federation Donegal Branch Join Forces

The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Donegal branch and Donegal ETB’s Further Education and Training (FET) Service joined forces recently to further develop Donegal ETB’s ‘Construction Ground Work Skills’ training programme. This training programme offers learners the opportunity to gain work experience on construction sites in Donegal while also addressing the current skills needs of local employers.

A number of learners have already completed their training and gained on-site work experience with CIF Donegal branch members operating in the county.

The CIF Western and Midland Regional Director, Justin Molloy said, “The CIF Donegal branch would like to congratulate Donegal ETB’s Further Education and Training on the training programmes that they are providing for learners wishing to enter the industry. We would also like to offer them our continued support in the delivery of all future training programmes.”

Donegal ETB’s Director of FET, Cróna Gallagher said, “This is an important partnership between Donegal ETB’s FET Service and CIF to support the delivery of training to meet the skills needs of the construction industry. This training is delivered through our two training centres in Letterkenny and Gweedore.”
