Examples of skills provided by accounting technician course that has helped you in your current role.
The Integrated Accounting Systems module in year 2 has helped massively in the everyday use of Sage accounts, payroll and spreadsheets.
In addition to this, the knowledge gained from both the Taxation and Financial Accounting modules are critical in my role and assist in the completion of form 11 returns and the preparation and presentation of financial statements.
I am also in a position to assist employers with advice on employment costs and certain aspects of employment law and employee rights.
Summary description of your experience of accounting technician course.
Having signed up for what I initially thought was a simple bookkeeping course, I quickly realised that this was not the “simple little Fás course” that I thought it was. I was pleasantly surprised however, to discover that the course content was extremely interesting and challenging in a really good way.
I loved my two years on the Accounting Technician course and would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering a career in accounts. The qualification itself is a fantastic qualification and highly sought after by employers.
It is also a good stepping stone for those who wish to proceed further with their accounting studies.
