Three Donegal ETB School Projects Qualify for 2024 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition

Event logoThree Donegal ETB school projects have qualified for the 60th BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. The event takes place in the RDS, Dublin from 11-14 January 2024. The Exhibition is designed to inspire young people to better understand the opportunities that a career in a STEM-related field can offer.

The three projects come from two schools, the Abbey Vocational School in Donegal Town and Coláiste Ailigh in Letterkenny. Twelve entries in total have qualified from Co Donegal. The projects that have qualified are:

Abbey Vocational School, Donegal Town (1 Individual entry)

  1. An investigation into the effects of videogames and team sports on the understanding of concepts of game theory and problem-solving in students (Social and Behavioural Sciences)

Coláiste Ailigh, Letterkenny (2 Group entries)

  1. Imscrúdú ar éifeachtúlacht Olann gharbh mar inslitheoir tí ailtéarnach (Chemical, Physical and Mathematical Sciences)
  2. Staidéar ar éifeacht feirmeoireacha, tithíochta agus tionsclaíochta ar bhithéagsúlacht inbheartabrach abhainn Leanainn (Biological and Ecological)
