WORKING WITH EMPLOYERS
Donegal ETB provides a wide range of services to employers and we are committed to providing courses relevant to the needs of industry.
Under the Skills to Advance Initiative and Skills for Work Programme, Donegal ETB can offer targeted support for vulnerable groups in the workforce, particularly those with lower skill levels who need more opportunities to advance in their working lives. Supports are available for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who need some assistance to invest in and develop their workforce. We can also arrange to deliver bespoke programmes for employees in individual companies or groups of companies.
Donegal ETB’s Area Training Manager Vinny McGroary spoke to Highland Radio’s ‘Business Matters’ podcast on 20 January 2021, about how we support businesses across the county to upskill and reskill staff in these challenging times.
Our on-line learning, part-time and evening course provision offer opportunities for employee up-skilling and employers can also collaborate with Donegal ETB in the design and delivery of customised training courses, if required.
We deliver full-time programmes for job seekers in a wide range of areas including IT and communication Technologies, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Health and Welfare, Beauty and Hospitality. All of these programmes include work placements which are valuable to both our learners and employers.
From Apprenticeship administration and training delivery, Traineeships, Employee Up-Skilling through part-time/evening/on-line courses, the Skills For Work programme and Customised Training we endeavour to provide a range of options to meet the requirements of employers and enterprises within the county.
Furthermore, we welcome applications from employers interested in sharing their experience and expertise with our learners.
