Safety, Health and Welfare at Work

In accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, it is the responsibility of the Donegal Education and Training Board to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of all staff and to protect learners, visitors, contractors and other persons on our premises from injury and ill health arising from any work activity. 

Health and Safety

Employer Responsibilities: The employer is responsible for ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of his or her employees. This includes the provision of:

  • A safe place of work
  • Safe systems of work
  • Competent employees
  • Safe equipment

Employee Responsibilities: The employee must comply with the relevant provisions, as appropriate, and take reasonable care to protect his or her safety, health and welfare at work.
