what is estate management?

The Estates Management Section are responsible for maximising the value of Donegal ETB properties and facilities and to ensure that the appropriate infrastructure is in place when and where required in order to enhance student, learner and staff wellbeing, by managing the organisations capital infrastructure and annual capital plan.

Responsibilities

The Estates Management team based at the Administrative Offices, Letterkenny are responsible for:

  • School Building Projects funded by the Department of Education and Skills and devolved to Donegal ETB to manage/deliver, namely:-
    • new school construction projects
    • additional accommodation projects in existing schools
    • Summer Works Scheme Projects, and
    • Emergency Works Projects
  • Repairs, maintenance, refurbishment to existing School Buildings
  • Further Education & Training (FET) Capital Projects
  • Annual repairs and refurbishment programme to FET Centres
  • Loose Furniture and Equipment Funding applications
  • Property Register; acquisition and/or disposal of lands/buildings
  • Management of Donegal ETBs several Insurance Policies
  • The procurement of all works related contracts i.e. Design Teams/Consultants/Contractors
  • Payments in respect of all works related projects.
  • SEAI Monitoring & Reporting cycle on the organisations annual energy consumption.
