Highland Radio Broadcasts ‘Monday Night Sessions’ from Errigal College

Errigal College’s Music Room came alive on Monday, 20 October, as students showcased their musically creative talents during a live broadcast of Highland Radio’s ‘Monday Night Sessions‘ with Paul McDevitt and Jimmy Stafford.

This was the first time the show had been broadcast from a school.

The live event showcased the incredible range of musical ability within the school, from traditional to contemporary styles.

The lineup featured an impressive mix of performers across all Years who delivered outstanding performances to an appreciative audience.: Sean Mac Aoda (1st Year, Uilleann Pipes), Liza Kozar (2nd Year, Piano), Kerry Wade (1st Year, Vocals), Adrian Relek Doherty (6th Year, Guitar/Vocals), Unami Dube (1st Year, Cello), Kendra Ponsonby (2nd Year, Vocals), Charles Jei Bonnevie (5th Year, Vocals), Grace Collett (3rd Year, Vocals/Guitar), Charlie Roarty (3rd Year, Piano/Vocals), Cillian Orr and Davin McDonough (2nd Year, Bagpipes), Eirinn Harkness Farfan (5th Year, Vocals), Adrian, Josephine and Zach (6th Year, Vocals/Guitar/Bass), Alis Giacobbe (5th Year, Vocals), and the Errigal College Choir, who closed the evening.

Mr. Paddy Molloy from the Music Department praised the students for their dedication and professionalism, describing the event as “a brilliant celebration of student talent, creativity, and community spirit – a true reflection of two of the main pillars of our ethos – community and equality.”

He also thanked parents and guardians for their continued support, noting that the evening’s success reflected the school’s thriving music culture.
