Arrangements for Industrial Action on Wednesday, 14 October 2026

Donegal ETB ogoIndustrial action is due to take place on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 as part of a national campaign involving unions across the public sector.

This action will involve teaching and other staff. As a result of the industrial action, and following a risk assessment, the Chief Executive of Donegal ETB has decided that schools and Donegal College of Further Education and Training centres (listed below), will not be in a position to open safely for students on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. Schools and centres will therefore remain closed to students on that day.

We appreciate that this closure may cause inconvenience for families and are providing as much notice as possible to allow alternative arrangements to be made. Schools and centres will reopen as normal on Thursday, 15 October 2026.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
