Gné-alt ó Ryan san ‘Irish Times’ | Featured Article from Ryan in the ‘Irish Times’

[lang_ie]Sa leagan is déanaí den Irisleabhar (Guthanna Óga Nua i Scríbhneoireacht na Tíre) atá mar forlíonadh den pháipéar nuachtáin náisiúnta ‘An Irish Times’, (Eagrán, Déardaoin 3 Bealtaine 2012) tá gearrscéal ó mhac léinn an cúigiú bliain ó Choláiste na Maoile Ruaidhe, Baile na nGallóglach – sin Ryan McBride. Scríobh Ryan píosa darbh ainm ‘Rapunzel‘ atá foilsithe san iris seo agus atá i gcomhar le Fighting Words, an tIonad um Scríbhneoireacht Chruthaitheach bunaithe i gcroílár Bhaile Átha Cliath ag an t-úrscéalaí agus drámadóir cáiliúil Ruaidhrí Ó Duill.
Is mac léinn é Ryan, a bhfuil a lán scríbhneoireacht chruthaitheach déanta aige mar shampla i Nuachtlitir Choláiste na Maoile Ruaidhe (‘Mulroy’s Ministry of Words’) atá faoi eagarthóireacht Danielle Friel agus fós le gairid fuair Ryan aitheantas d’ardchaighdeán leis an dán nuachumtha a bhí aige sa chomórtas filíochta Focail Aniar Aduaidh. Déanann muid uile comhghairdeas le Ryan, lena chuid múinteoirí (go háirithe a mhúinteoir Béarla, Ursula O’Connor) agus leis an scoil agus a chuid comhghleacaithe uile ina iomláine.

Maith thú Ryan agus gur fada buan do chuid scríbhneoireacht![/lang_ie]

[lang_en-uk]The latest edition of the Magazine (New Young Voices in Irish Writing) which supplements the national newspaper ‘The Irish Times’ (Edition Thursday 3rd May 2012.) features a publication of a short story from a fifth year student in Mulroy College, Milford. – namely Ryan McBride. Ryan wrote a piece called ‘Rapunzel’ which is part of the magazine and in conjunction with Fighting Words, the Centre for Creative Writing founded in the heart of Dublin by the well known novelist and dramatist Roddy Doyle.
Ryan is not new to this creative writing as he regularly contributes to Mulroy College Newsletter (Mulroy’s Ministry of Words) under the editorship of Danielle Friel and also recently enjoyed success with his poetry entered in the North West Words Poetry Competition. We all take this opportunity to congratulate Ryan, his teachers (especially his English subject teacher, Ursula O’Connor) and his fellow students and the school overall. Well done, Ryan and keep up the writing![/lang_en-uk]
