Fuair an Rannóg Gnó ón scoil Choláiste Earagail trófaí fós siocair an méid a baineadh amach ina iomláine ag Dámhachtain Fhiontraíochta NFTE. Tá bród ar an múinteoir gnó Danny McFadden agus thug seisean buíochas don éascaitheoir NFTE sa Chontae anseo agus atá fós mar Oibrí don Aos Óg, John Muldowney.
Bhí 16 de Mhac Léinn na hIdirbhliana ó Choláiste Earagail a bhain Teastais amach – Niall ar ndóigh a phlé mé agus fós Michael Foy a fuair Teastas Bua na Déantúsaíochta do ghnó s’aige féin – “Michael’s Tasty Treats” – atá i mbun gnó le sé mhí anuas. I measc na moltóirí ar an lá bhí Bobbi Kerr ó Dragon’s Den agus deirfiúr do Ronan Keating..Marie.

[lang_en-uk]Niall Foody is the man of the moment having won the top prize this year in the NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepeneurship) Awards in recognition of his innovative skills with his product “Key You In”. Please link here to posting in January when Awards were announced. Niall and his mother Claire are currently in New York where Niall will represent Ireland at a special function this week. RTE’s Nationwide recently interviewed Niall etc and you can view same by linking here to the RTE Player or catch a repeat of the show tonight Monday 22nd April at 7.00 p.m. on RTE1.
Errigal College’s Business Department were also presented with a trophy for their efforts and contributions to the overall NFTE programme. Niall’s business teacher Mr Danny McFadden was delighted with the award. He paid huge thanks to Mr John Muldowney, Foroige youthworker and facilitator of the NFTE programme in Donegal.
Sixteen TY students from Errigal College received graduation certificates in the Helix, DCU on Wednesday last. Niall of course as already mentioned and also Michael Foy who was Errigal College’s overall winner, scooping a Merit for Manufacturing in his business. Michael’s business is called ‘Michael’s Tasty Treats’ and has been running profitably for six months. Each student made a Powerpoint presentation of her/his business and the judges included Bobbi Kerr, Dragon’s Den, and Ronan Keating’s sister Marie. Congratulations to all concerned.[/lang_en-uk]
