Letterkenny Youthreach Learner Wins Place on Royal Hibernia Academy Art Workshops!

Congratulations to Letterkenny Youthreach learner Kayleigh Ann Warren who was one of six Youthreach learners picked nationally to participate in this year’s Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) Avolon Youthreach programme in Dublin. Kayleigh, who was nominated by her art teacher (and well-known local artist) Dolores Dunleavy, will participate in four workshops in the RHA in March, April and May to increase her art skills, introduce her to visiting art galleries and art colleges and offer basic tools of criticism. As well as developing practical skills by working alongside a practicing artist, this opportunity offers the learners the ability to explore the opportunities and challenges of being a professional artist in Ireland today. Well done Kayleigh!

Youthreach is co-funded by the Irish Government, the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014-2020.
