Chief Executive Anne McHugh speaks at the Seanad Special Committee

Our Chief Executive Anne McHugh spoke at the Seanad Special Committee on the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Brexit) during the week on behalf of Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI).
The Committee, set up in February 2017, will consider the implications for Ireland of the withdrawal with particular reference to the implications for the Irish economy; relations between the State and Northern Ireland; the citizenship rights of all the people of Northern Ireland; the Common Travel Area and the Border; agriculture and fisheries; transport, energy and communications; welfare, health and education; and such other related matters as the Committee may determine. The Special Select Committee is expected to report to Seanad Éireann by the end of June 2017.
