Mission Statement: It is our mission to create a calm, caring and creative environment where all pupils are given the best opportunities to develop their potential to the full, to acquire knowledge and to adopt a positive attitude towards work, life and their community.  

We hope and encourage that everyone in Crana College, work to the best of their ability at home and in school, show respect for themselves and others, care for the school and community environment, show consideration for the health and safety of themselves and others. We seek to inspire every student to learn, to think, to care and to achieve.

Crana College is a co-educational progressive DEIS school with approximately 560 students.  We have invested heavily in ICT as a tool to support student learning, where students use a range of devices and platforms to enhance learning experiences.  We are a pilot school for DES short course Coding and continue to develop this area within our school.

The school meets the needs of the local community by offering the following range of programmes:

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail has launched its 2020 Apprenticeship Campaign across three trades:

Well done to Mollie McGonigle, 5th Year on her big win in this prestigious competition, Pramerica young writer of the year. Mollie wrote her poem during lockdown after her English teacher, Ms Sylvia McSheffrey, encouraged her class to enter the competition. Congratulation Mollie.

6th Year Class of 2020 can collect your hoodies, yearbook, formal photo (thanks to Bizzprint) and bag of sweets from school (Room 10) this week. 6B Wednesday 17th, 6C Thursday 18th, 6D/6A/LCA Friday from 11am to 1pm. Please return all books and locker key.

Attention 6th years. Please return your locker keys to the school at the earliest convenience. Place in an envelope with locker key number and your name. If the school is not open please place in the letterbox at the front gate of the school. Thank you.

We had a fantastic virtual graduation ceremony attended by Students, Staff, Parents & Guardians for class if 2020. There was also a special and unforgettable Riverdance performance by Ms. McFadden. We will miss you but always remember you fondly! #CranaCollege #Buncrana💚👏🏻👨🏻‍🎓👩‍🎓
